Souvenirs de Lanaudière

For the second concert of the series, the Claudel-Canimex Quartet presents the sublime sextet Souvenir de Florence op.70 from Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky with the violist Frédéric Lambert and the cellist Laurence Leclerc, both native of Joliette. This concert is in fact a real «Joliette native» event. Three of the members of the quartet, Laurence Leclerc and Frédéric Lambert have all passed through the school of Père Brunelle, the Père Lindsay musical camp and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Joliette. Beautiful reunion filled with memories! The concert is at the Joliette Art Museum on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

New videos

Quatuor Claudel-Canimex has just released new videos of the concert L'âme slave d'Est en Ouest with the pianist David Jalbert during the series Ahuntsic en Fugue presented on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Marguerite-Bourgeoys hall from the Regina Assumpta College in Montreal. Winter and spring 2018

The Claudel-Canimex quartet present a beautiful programmation of seven concerts in Lanaudiere for next winter and spring. A serie of four concerts taking place at Musée d'art de Joliette. The musicians are also guest artist for Mendelssohn et Albert Millaire event of Sinfonia de Lanaudière on March 11. Finally, Migration musicale will be presented at Abbaye Val-Notre-Dame of St-Jean-de-Matha in May 20.

Music, dance and tale

Tradition, transmission et transgénération was presented in Notre-Dame-des-Prairies on January 28th, before 200 people. In addition to the workshops for the students of Dominic Savio and Mgr Jetté schools and the representation for residents of the Résidence des Prairies. A success! Thank you to the participants, artists and partners: City of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, Caisses Desjardins de Joliette and Pierre-Le Gardeur, La Distinction, Hôpital vétérinaire des Prairies and Josée Marion Pharmacy.

Trad and quartet

Tradition, transmission et trangénération is a project of dance workshop and traditional music in participative mode with the students of Dominique Savio and Mgr Jetté schools, with the residents of the Residence des Prairies, but also during a public performance at the Notre-Dame-des-Prairies church on January 28, 2017. The Claudel-Canimex Quartet, all of whose musicians come from northern Lanaudière, the traditional dance troupe La Foulée and storyteller Eveline Ménard unite to offer these festive workshops: Sets-square, reels, quadrilles and legends in a perfect mix of what Lanaudière has best: heritage, music and dance ...


The Quatuor at Hudson

The musicians of the Claudel-Canimex Quartet presented a program of great repertoire of Verdi, Bédard and Dovrak string quartet at the chamber music series at St. James's Church in Hudson on November 27th.


Sinfonia et Quatuor récidivent

The musicians of the Quatuor Claudel-Canimex find back La Sinfonia de Lanaudière at a concert featuring the musicians of the orchestra on 16 October. Sinfonia virtuose present the Denis Bédard strings quartet and the Verdi quartet in version for orchestra. Flavie Gagnon and Elaine Marcil also performed the Vivaldi Concerto for two violins and Annie Parent has distinguished itself in a Telemann’s concerto.

Quatuor Claudel-Canimex musicians will be part of the opening concert of la Sinfonia de Lanaudière, Papa Haydn et Albert Millaire next september 11 2 pm at Hector-Charland theater in l'Assomption


The festival season is coming

The Quatuor Claudel-Canimex will be at Festival de Saint-Zénon-de-Piopolis with soprano Raphaëlle Paquette the july 23, and at the Festival classique des Hautes-Laurentides the july 30 with Pierre Gingras. Enjoy your summer!
